IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF RAISING CHILDREN, BE AWARE. THE TINY FINGERPRINTS THAT SHOW UP ON ALMOST EVERY NEWLY CLEANED SURFACE, THE TOYS SCATTERED AROUND THE HOUSE, THE PILES AND PILES OF LAUNDRY LYING AROUND TO BE TACKLED, WILL DISAPPEAR ALL TOO SOON. AND, YOU WILL, TO YOUR SURPRISE, MISS THEM PROFOUNDLY. THOMAS S. MONSON

FACEBOOK, MYSPACE, BLOGGING! BLOGGING!!!

I was at a fun friendly lunch with some close friends. All of them whom I love very dearly! I was called "grumpy" because of my attitude towards of FaceBook! I don't like to be called Grumpy... it causes me to blog!!! It was all in fun, and it was actually pretty simple... I just had to explain myself, as to why I don't like facebook! When Nora was born, I started a Myspace Account. It took me about a day to figure my way around it. I loved it! I was instantly addicted! I was able to get in contact with people I had not chatted with in YEARS! It was great. Some Myspace friends, recommended facebook. I tried it out... I was confused. It was complicated. I felt like I was LITERALLY in the World Wide Web! After I opened my account, I had people "throwing cake in my face", "kissing me", "poking me", and other things, that I just didn't feel comfortable with. I didn't know if I should be flattered, offended, or afraid! After all the mayhem! I took a break from Facebook. Just as of recently, I have had more friends requests (people again, who I haven't talked to in YEARS), and also church people. I think everyone in my ward is on Facebook. My bishop came up to me on Sunday, and said, "So, you don't like facebook, huh?" YIKES! My bishop is on facebook! He probably thinks I have a raunchy attitude now! What is one to do? So in my defense... blogging is my preference. Maybe because I get to say what I want to say, with out someone "hitting me with a pillow!" Please tell me your Myspace, Facebook, Blogging story. Convince me one way or the other! I am open! However, I will always be a blogger.

Oh Kirstynn, my "go-against-the-grain" friend:)...any body who is any body is on facebook:) j/k...I just started facebook about a month ago. I had an account before, but didn't do too much with it. I prefer blogging because you can be creative and it's more personal, but I like facebook for keeping in contact with many friends and aquaintances...I think they both serve their purpose:)

Blogs all the way. I love Facebook because I can catch up and see pictures of people I haven't seen since high school. But yeah, not a big time spender on Facebook. I'd rather be busy reading your blog! :)

The ONLY reason I have a facebook account is to hear from high school and college friends that I wouldn't otherwise hear from. I have a picture on there of my family and that's it. I confirm friend requests and maybe send a message to someone I haven't talked to in a long time and then after that I always return to my precious blog!

Kirstynn, You CAN do both you know. Love your blog, love facebook. I make it a habit to ignore all things shoved at me that I don't like. Just click ignore and they go away.
