IF YOU ARE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF RAISING CHILDREN, BE AWARE. THE TINY FINGERPRINTS THAT SHOW UP ON ALMOST EVERY NEWLY CLEANED SURFACE, THE TOYS SCATTERED AROUND THE HOUSE, THE PILES AND PILES OF LAUNDRY LYING AROUND TO BE TACKLED, WILL DISAPPEAR ALL TOO SOON. AND, YOU WILL, TO YOUR SURPRISE, MISS THEM PROFOUNDLY. THOMAS S. MONSON

Because it's still February....

and I love you all. If there is anyone that still reads this blog... I LOVE YOU! My purpose for blogging is to keep the loved ones informed, and updated, and to journal. I admit, I have sucked at it all since Smith has been born, and maybe even before that. The truth is, that the winters here are so sad and depressing, that there is nothing even to share. I have already been planning the next winter, so it is more fun for us all. Somethings I just can do when I am VERY pregnant, and with a new baby. Call it an excuse, or what you will, but that is my excuse. As I type this today, I am using one hand, while I attempt to use my other hand to help my kid nurse. Something that is not an easy task. But, I wanted to share some love today. The month is almost over, and it would be unfair to all... 3 of you?, if I didn't express my love today. WARNING: These are some REAL pictures. I am keepin it real, because I know how a few of my readers LOVE the keepin it real pictures. It makes you feel better about yourself, and because I love you, I want you to feel better today! I have been very busy cleaning and doing laundry and adjusting to the mom with 2 kids thing, that blogging has been last on my mind. Today, I sit in a room full of clean laundry that just needs to be folded and put away (I hate that part), and the kitchen is a disaster! I was so exhausted after Monday, that I didn't even clean the kitchen after dinner. And anyone who has been in my kitchen while I cook, knows that I know how to use a kitchen! I use about every square inch of it... don't believe me?

I also want to share some love with the grandparents. It is fun to talk on the phone to them, but I know when they call, they really only want to talk to Nora. That is ok with me, because I know that there are people that love my kids almost as much as I do. And that makes me happy. But, here are a few of our February going ons...Nora was sick for about a week. Bless her snotty little heart. She tried so hard to be happy, and would constantly say in the saddest stuffiest voice, "I'm sorry I'm sick. Thank you for helping me get better." It made the five days inside worth it. She is so precious!

Smith also picked up a little cough. But it didn't stop him from growing up too fast. That stink is so big! He is heavy, and chunky. His rolls and dimply butt make me beam! Nora was always skin and bones, and never had those folds and rolls, so I am enjoying them.

For Valentines Day, I got flowers, and a massage to be used in the future. I am so excited to be pampered. Joel also got flowers for Nora! She was so excited, and appreciated them like no other women could ever appreciate flowers. She smelled each one in the bouquet, and oohed and ahhd at every one. She put me to shame. We also had a "FANCY" dinner party. It was our opportunity to make a nice "fancy" meal, Chicken Cordon Bleu. That's fancy for.... Fancy Chicken. Nora got all dressed up, and we had our friends over. It was low key for us, but we hyped it up for the fancy one. Candice and Joe came over. Nora thought Joe was her prince. It is so funny. She thinks he is "hanhum". I'm not makin this stuff up... I don't know where she gets these things! (How embarrassing, I forgot to put my broom away! Ugh... just keepin' it real people!)

Then we all sat, and tried to make Smith laugh. No such luck! But we sure tried.

Finally, as I sit here and blog, here is what I have the pleasure of staring at... It's no wonder, I never blog... he is way too cute! And he already hates me taking his picture.

We are so glad that the weather has finally decided to be nice to us, so I hope very soon to be extremely active outdoors. It is hard to believe that we are coming up on our anniversary of our move out here. There are days that seem like we have been here FOREVER, and there are days that it only seems like we have been here for 50 years. Either way you look at it, it has been a long time away from our loved ones, and doesn't get much easier. We love it here though. We have been making some great friends, we love the beach, and all the other things there are to do, but there is no place like home.

***This post was actually started on Tuesday. My kitchen was cleaned, and is now a mess from tonight! Laundry is still there! Who needs dressers? Also, I have been staying up way too late watching the olympics, and have been a little sleep deprived, so forgive my typos, and my run-on sentance, fragments... a.k.a. my grammatical imperfections! I speaked only the trufe!***

I've kind of noticed not many people blog anymore, at least not consistently. I don't blame you either with those two beauties you call your kids! I feel your pain being away from family...much love!

I can't believe how big smith is getting. At first glance I swear he's a clone of Joel and then I looked again and thought identical clone of Nora...but then again...Nora was a clone of her Daddy...so I guess it all the same...and I guess I'm rambeling...so I guess I'll shut up now. I miss you like crazy and I'm so glad that you're back to blogging and keeping it real so that I can feel better about myself! Loves!

Thanks for that so REAL post. I was begining to think that my house was the only one on earth that was left untiddy for the sake of spending time with my family or just b/c was too tired to clean. Although I must say Your house still looks way neatier then mine ever will. Your kids are beautiful and you are one lucky lady. Thanks again. It put a big smile on my face. Kristina Sheaer
